I played back my tape of CNBC this morning ( I tape it in the morning and play it back at a decent hour!) and Jabil's CEO was interviewed by Mark Haines. The CEO said that Cisco was still doing fine but he implied that 3Com had slowed a little bit. I have holdings in both stocks and am staying long in them. In fact I'm thinking of investing in JABL, they are a lean, mean contract manufacturer facing a temporary slowdown that should not last more than a quarter or two. (I agree with Jabil's CEO on this.)

No recent news on Europe but the last news was that business was picking up the last few months.

I'm waiting to see what 3Com reports next week. High end networking sales are still going strong. The latest reports say that the internet backbones are slowing down with increased traffic. I'm looking for further evidence to support that.

regards

Eric
