The only way around this constant volatility is a sustained cash flow from procedure sales. The resistance (IMO)comes from traders who are riding the ups and downs almost on a hour by hour basis.
This whole laser thing is all a marketing problem that has not been resolved. The question is "how do you make an optional procedures a necessity" and still keep it wrapped in medical ethics.
I've written all the companies with the same suggestion.
They should at least push the idea that eye glasses are "ugly" and unnecessary.
