Dennis,

WebStreet's order execution is very fast. However, their order entry just doesn't compare to Datek. After entering an order with WebStreet your order status indicates it has been received by WebStreet but not actually entered with NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX, etc. I have entered orders and had them executed as quickly as 20 seconds, but then again I've had other marketable orders sit idle for three minutes. I don't trade as heavily as others, so this does not impact me as much as it might a true daytrader.

Datek order entry is much faster. Once I enter an order it doesn't sit idle before being represented. However, I get fills between the bid and ask more often at WebStreet.

I prefer WebStreet because their customer service has no equal among the online brokers. If I have a problem with WebStreet I know it will be resolved within seconds of calling WebStreet. If I have a problem with Datek I know I will be on hold, lied to, brushed off, lied to again after calling Datek.
