Pete....You should thank Worth as it will encourage more silly shorts, we can go bargain basement shopping and then the recovery will be even better.

Think about what Warren Buffett says about how you should want your stocks to be low in price while in the accumulation phase (link to Buffett's letter to his shareholders at suite101.com ). If you are buying a specific car model, do you look for the lowest price or the most expensive store to buy it from? Sure, if you already have your total long position established, then you want to see the value go up as quick as possible.

This Asia thing is big. Very big. It hurts all industries one way or another , even the ones showing increased sales as the sales would be higher if Asia didn't melt down. The good companies will consolidate and be stronger after this. It seems that UTEK has the war chest and has just added some great management strength to do battle once the drought passes and companies have capital to invest heavily in the next generation of semiconductor capital equipment. Individual investors really have an advantage here as we can put capital to work now that we don't have to show a return on right away. The big money managers will most likely wait until they see the good orders and won't mind paying $30 by then knowing it is headed to $40 or higher.

BTW, I have a friend that just bought beach front property in Bali and land for a cattle ranch nearby for $5,000. Figure that might be worth a bit more in 10 yrs? 8)
