At the particular time Jesus, as God Himself in the person of His own Son, in order to walk among humans and leave a true legacy they too could live, Isreal I think was more in a state of horrible seige from the truly pagan of pagans Romans. That always pulls people more together. The fact that the high priest caiphus used the FACT that "if we let him live the WHOLE NATION will believe on him" per the Word, read it yourself, that does not speak to me of a time of baby burning to Baal. That was earlier, when the Philistines were all around them, and Dagon and Baal was all there was.
I hated Isreal for years thinking about how "it" turned on God time after time-- until very recently! Then I took a long hard look around at the same country that was so bathed in the Holy Spirit 30 years ago that it is still legendary among those that lived it. 30 years later I see a nation of growing human mutations, some monsters, frankly, and hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions openly worshipping satan in large number under the age of 25.
So, let's talk the horror of human nature, period. And as for Emile, start with about Dec. 1 and follow it up, then make your own decision. I had to.
All of this is the Lord's problem, not mine. I just used to post here a lot, and now I do elsewhere, and if this goes there, I will make a strong, strong protest to Jill.
MOST INTERESTING TRIVIA I HAVE EVER FOUND AND CAN'T FIND THE SOURCE AGAIN TO PROVE IT:
tThe Caesar in power at the time of the birth of Jesus had formally proclaimed Cybele, the mother goddess--or Diana of the Romans, as THE god to be worshipped on earth above all other gods/goddesses. I found it in an encyclopedia. Two years later God sent His son to intervene. Obviously horrible things were planned behind that Diana I think. It's hard to find that kind of history, but I know I found it, and I know I didn't dream it up. |
