billwot. Hm. Interesting. Other analysts said that the DEC deal is not that great to CPQ anymore but I guess it will go through. So we will wait and see and pick up more CPQ if it goes lower.

Losing 13% does not really sound that bad to us, does it? I think USRX dropped more than half of its value over time when the 3Com deal was announced? And 3Com stock did not fare much better.

20.000 jobs lost - that does sound like a lot. Intel needs almost 3000 in Costa Rica by that time. And aren't we importing all this labor now. The Congress is being approached of letting more skilled high tech workers in. Maybe they better wait with that until all the DEC workers have found a new job.

A lot of the banks are laying off workers and it will get worse. All those workers can go into those open jobs high tech cos are crying for. I think there will be a lot more mergers coming down the pike. It makes you wonder where it will all end.
