Look back from the time of the christ crucifixcion (sp?).
IMHO - many of the then 500 year old buddhist principles of mindfulness and basic precepts of belief bear a close parrellel to the origins of christianity. When you boil down the differences in ritual and look at the similarities - it is quite refreshing to see they are not that different at all. I like to think of it as a continum of goodness, lovingkindness and giving spirit.
