I agree with you...The Ach story of Sibia's is pure unadulterated crap...(this would not surprise anyone who has follwed my posts on this thread) I agree....the estrogen story is not worth applauding (as i believe i indicated in my previous post). i was merely providing Info. which was requested in post#153....(hope it was useful)... I compliment you on your ability to state the obvious:"All data is correlative until you have a mechanism"....It is difficult to uncover a mechanism prior to establishing a correlation....Thanks for your words of wisdom...In the absence of a mechanism, should researchers not do correlative studies?....Are you suggesting that AD research has been hindered as a result of the identification of the presenilins/APP/estrogen/Ach/ApoE/aluminum? I take it from your post that you believe the state of AD research is one of correlations....well i would agree with you on that....i would even go further to say that the state of research on just about all neurodegenerative/neuropsychiatric disorders is correlative....I will go out on a limb and say that mechanisms will follow.... Hmmm...I think i will engage in a correlative study of my own....SIBIAphiles and dementia...then i could move on to find a mechanism of SIBIA-induced dementia....Perhaps SIBIAphiles (you know who you are!) self-administer SIB-1508Y...they become like morphine drugged rats...SIB-1508Y screws up their COMMUNICATION cortex, which projects to their motor cortex....The motor cortex then causes them to speak stupidity....when they find out that no one listens to them....they develop compensatory mechanisms by which they type their words on SI...
