Charred, ever hear of a crusher, not a big hug from your fat aunt, they crush it to the best leach/cost size. Hard rock can cost less to crush than soft rubber(try crushing tennis balls), it is a mixed craft and they would have done leach tests on assorted sizes and grinding energy tests to find the optimum crsuh/leach parameters before they start.
