Late yesterday, AERIAL COMMUNICATIONS CEO Don Warkentin said the
wireless telephony group expects European visitors to Orlando to
use their mobile telephones from home on its Florida network since
the Aerial system shares technology with many European wireless
networks. "That's a very real roaming opportunity for us,"
Warkentin told institutional investors at a conference sponsored
by Raymond James & Associates. An estimated 46 million Europeans
use phones based on GSM, Warkentin said. The executive also said
that Aerial was finding great success with service plans bundling
large amounts of airtime at fixed prices to monthly customers.
