Rocky - Click of Death

I have experienced click of death first hand on an internal IDE drive.
It also ruined several disks. One phone call to Iomega was all it took
to rectify. Yes they took my credit card number, but after I told them
the problem, they simply asked how many disks were ruined also. There
was no charge and they sent me a new ATAPI drive and disks via Airborne Express. It was that easy.

I sincerely doubt the accuracy of the quote you posted.
