Technology Stocks : Novell (NOVL) dirt cheap, good buy?

Novell relies on third parties for their "service" operations. Companies like HP and IBM provide the "service" while Novell makes money on the software. HP and IBM already have the field service in place, so they can get away with it easier than Novell, who would have to build one from scratch. That would not be cheap, and I can think of a lot of other things that I would rather Novell spend their money on.

It's not a bad idea, but it's not the appropriate thing for them to be doing right now, either.
