Bob,
that is an interesting philosophical point.

I am not saying the word or God is not infallible. What I am saying is the book sitting in my library that says Bible on the cover was written by men and women who were attempting to convey the word of God. If there are inconsistencies or contradiction it is not because God is inconsistent or contradictory but because there fallible humans who attempted to convey His word erred. If that means that I do not accept the Bible as the inspired word of God, so be it. That book has gone through many translations and interpretations over the centuries. To me what is more important is the spirit of God's word and the example of Christ.
