I don't have any of the impressive number crunching abilities of some of the people on this board (who I thank profusely for sharing their expertise), but it seems to me that there is still a significant psychological barrier to reaching $50 as a target price. As I understand it, $50 is about the all-time high for AAPL. Right now, even though the press has come a long way in their attitude, we're still hearing a lot of "Despite this recovery, many analysts believe that Apple will never fully recover its former glory...". I don't think that Wall Street will support $50 until they see either (1) Apple dramatically retaking market share or (2) Apple finding or making new markets (like set-top boxes) where they can prove they'll achieve major growth. My instinct is that neither of these events are likely to occur before the Fall.

However, there may be some methods of stock valuation that I just don't grok. Any of you numbers wizards want to prove me wrong?

Thanks,
Michael
