IBG & ABS2000

Techetx,

Its been a long time since I reviewed the inner workings of the ABS2000 so my post referencing the IBG deal as a clear signal of FDA approval may be in error. Here is a segment of the press release that grabbed my eye regarding IBG's importance to Immucor.

<<Under the terms of the agreement, Immucor assumes the sales, marketing, service and support of all current and future IBG products in North America. IBG presently has the only semi-automated microtitration plate reader available for sale in the U.S to read and interpret Immucor's proprietary solid phase Capture(R) assays.>>

Correct me if I am wrong but is not the Capture (R) assay an integral component of the ABS2000? This deal gives Immucor complete control over the entire process as does their deal with the manufacturer of the ABS2000. The ducks are all lined up!

My interpretation may be in error. Help me out.

Regards,

Tom
