To All: This is a little info. I found about the ROP process. Seperator: As food is conveyed , it will be placed on a seperator belt for visual inspection by the plant operator. Any foreign objects may be hand picked out before the material enters the crusher. Crusher : All food waste will enter the crusher in order to size the material to a maximum of 1/2 inch on one side. The crusher will process between 10-12 tons per hour. Ribbon Blender / Storage: A conveyer will pick up the sized food by products and deliver it to a Ribbon Blender which will blend and store raw material while acting as a surge bin for the Blow Gun. Blow Gun: The material will be pumped from the Ribbon Blender into the Blow Gun which then fill the sterilizer for processing. The Blow Gun will be mounted with an electric weighing device and will use steam as the material blowing agent. Sterilizers: After the sterilizer is filled by the Blow Gun the cooking process begins. The sterilizer is heated by steam injection and a steam jacket, and is equipped with agitators. The feed is raised to 130 degrees celsius and maintained at this temp. for 30 minutes. The sterilizer limits the capacity of the system to 1 ton per hour. As the batch reaches time and temp. it is pumped to the intermidiet tank. Stabilizers: The intermidiet tank acts as a pre-cooling vessel which is conected to a special cooler so the product is sufficiently cooled down before stabilization agent is added from the preservitive tank and bacteria tank together with the molasses to reduce the PH which discourages molds and bacteria from forming. After the product has been cooled down to 25 degrees celsius and stabilized it is then pumped into storage tanks. Bio Filter: To prevent the possibility of any plant odors escaping into the enviroment the plant is kept at a negative pressure and air is drawn throuh the Bio Filter before being vented outdoors. Storage Tanks: Three stainless steel tanks provide approximately 12,000 gallons finished product storage for shipping and on farm useage. I hope this helps to understand the process a little bit. From what I understand this is the best process availible. Best Regards > Bugsy <
