Gates: Focus is on job, not stock news.com
Bill continues his world tour. Today he's in Singapore, delivering the truth for Reggie and no doubt exploring ways to help Lee Kuan Yew to keep a lid on that pesky internet thing.
"The way we've been able to do a good job is by not focusing on the share price at all, but focusing on research, products, and the customer relationships," he said.
Right, no interest in the share price at all. Customer relationships rule, especially the excellent relationship Microsoft enjoys with the OEMs. All they got to do is ship the machines the way Microsoft builds them, and all is well. That Joachim Kempin is just the guy to handle them, when they get confused and refuse to give the customers what they want. Like the original retail Win95. Still flying off the shelves after 2 1/2 years!
In his speech, he mapped out possible lifestyle applications of the Internet and dramatic improvements in technology which he said were on the way.
Oops, I forgot the other initiative that goes with DNA/DNS, the Web Lifestyle. Preview available at www.msn.com.
