Actually up to two weeks ago, 200 MHZ PPros were selling at a disocunt of about $80 to the 200mz pentiums, then bang - a 32% price increase, amaxing bals on INTC's part. AT under $650, the 256k 200mhz PPro was the best price/performance buy in computeredom.

I suppose they figured out the competition could not come close, therefore no need to waste margins.
