Dave, there is one unfortunate fact about this new CD-RW: the disks that is writes cannot be read by standard CD-ROM drives. The reflectivity of the spots is not high enough.

So, with a new CD-RW, you can read CD-ROMs, read and write CD-RW, but you cannot write a CD-ROM.

I'm afraid it falls a little short. I'd rather have CD-R, and be able to write real CD-ROMS.
