Doug, I've wondered the same thing regarding the NASDAQ highs and my techs decidedly off their highs... From the hype I've heard over the past 6 months, here's where the money is going...

1. Internet stocks.. AOL is OOTW (out of this world), Yahoo, Amazon, anything with an internet base... I'd love to short 'em (Amazon trades at >5000 1998 est earnings and about 15x sales), but don't want to take the risk.

2. Banks are still hot. They have been for the past few years. Consolidation rumors thereof are driving prices up.

3. Pharmacy and biotech, up, up and away... Similar story to banks (consolidation rumors)...

4. Retail seems to be hot (after the Christmas crunch).

5. Anyone else want to add to the list?

I think we've just seen some sector rotation (for good reason, techs were overpriced IMO).. I'm in for the long term, so I know eventually my techs will catch up..

Dennis
