Stocks will sometimes shake weak holders out before proceeding up. A dip down to pick up stock by moving thru stops increases MM inventory before the next move up. Since a lot of stock was sold at 24 to small investors, that can be picked up cheap by a drop to 21 area since it passes thru the magic "cut your losses at 10%" point. I have a lot of theories, but no one knows for sure. Read the Market Manipulation piece to find out what the MMs can do to you. AMTX certainly looks like an excellent buy at 21 (imho). John
