no question that dell will be able to surf that wave - they are the best in the business at that process. But with merced a ways down the road Dell may lose mindshare in the 64 bit space. I think this is a more complex issue than just shipping the machines, it is important to Dell's server growth (but not any time soon - more like 2 yrs from now).
