DVNTF's potential continued. Yes I own DVNTF now...
I bought AFTER the news that they partnered with Certicom. DVNTF is going to do real good *IF* they come through on the technology April 30th. That,s when they promised to ship us Beta s/w.

Contracts:
Read the following then use your imagination;
Potential areas of technology implementation include:
1. Networking hardware/software. (i.e. CSCO) Side point: VPN's (Virtual Private Networks), certificate issuing routers, etc...
2. Databases. Side point: DVNTF is coming to California in a couple of weeks to meet with ORCL. Hopefully HP also.
3. Software development. Developers will not need to implement security in code. (MSFT likes that)
4. Security for Ebusiness peripherals. (i.e. HP/Veriphone solutions, printer h/w & s/w)
Basically DVNTF's initial contracts will "Beta" test their technology. This company is being used to test ecommerce security ideas.

VRSN focus is on certificates for individuals, general public who want to authentic ID's. DVNTF's focus is on enterprises. networking/ecommerce/communication/application security. Also wireless communication security. Two completely different animals. All the big boys are eyeballing their technology, experimenting with it. DVNTF could open major doors for them. If DVNTF comes through (April 30th) expect a target of $ALOT. The big boys want to steer DVNTF's technology to meet their needs. What can I say, "Mikey likes it".
