Perhaps we are not even sinful? Emile says (if I understood correctly)that we are evil because we have not achieved the inherent goodness of God. That is a tall order. Perhaps mankind is inherently good, but striving to become more "godlike". Perhaps Jesus died, not to atone for our sins, but lived, to show us how to love? Perhaps he died when his purpose was finished? Just a thought.
