Christ often referred to his harvest, this statement by you would suggest that it is not possible. If you truly believe that it is not within the power of men to discern good and evil, what do you suggest men do. Is there any type of direction given to men that does allow them to discern good from evil, "life" from "death", if it is indeed possible to discern this in our neighbor, what then must we require of him if he is to join in fraternity with other Christians. What did Christ actually teach about doctrinal differences, that is establishing differences by the use of the Letter.
Quoting Scripture is fine, but do you feel that men and women not yet in Christ might be more influenced by your living testimony to the greatest scriptures, or your doctrinal beliefs on what exactly constitutes Gods word. I believe you illustrated this nicely with your first quote, instructing Christians in this matter. |
