I would not be so specific about a close below 11 7/8. Most technical analysts say that a trend should be broken by at least 5% for it to count and they also say that lower priced stocks need to have even a little more room. I am not really sure about that area either. I remember that there was a lot of resistance around 30 when BTIM was trading pre-split in the 20's. I tend to think that if 10 is taken out then there is trouble in the making. Previous areas of resistance tend to show up later as support because those who sold at 30 (pre-split) probably were kicking themselves when it hit the 60-70 range and they are looking for a chance to get back in cheap. If BTIM runs up a point or two I think it will gain momentum.

I think that BTIM needs the boost of some good news right now and it will be back in the black. Hope this helps.
