I like that idea: being able to preview 160 characters rather than 80. Sometimes you buy a stock, there are thousands of posts in a thread, you want to get an idea of what has been going on, but it would take several days to read every note. I sometimes scan through the first line and only read selected notes in a situation like that. If I happen upon an interesting discussion, I'll then read several notes in a row, but then go back to scanning. SI already has this excellent feature of being able to see who wrote the note and all the first lines, without taking the time to open each note individually. This aspect of SI is already well designed. Expanding this preview feature might be nice. It's certainly easy to skip posts by any poster that way, since you can easily see who wrote each post.
