I see this as a good move on the part of ADEX and it does make them a stronger company. I am torn between whether ADEX will survive the next round of consolidation as an independent company. It could easily become gobbled up by the likes of a KLAC or AMAT. It could also fin itself partnering with the likes of a Thermawave or NANO. While it is nothing but pure speculation on my part (any take over or consolidation), it makes great sense becasue of the huge costs going forward with 300mm and sub 0.25u technology.

However, this acquisition is a step in the right direction that could allow ADEX to grow as a stronger independent and remain a stable entity down the road.
