I try to take survey results very lightly unless I really trust the people conducting it. Do you think 27% is high for new car purchase intentions? I think it can't be very far from that ... I would guess 20% would lay some claim to new car ownership within the year ...

There is confident I am, that the PC is very much on the minds of households presently without. I'll make a few predictions:

A. In five years PC penetration will exceed 75% of all U.S. households. 50% of the U.S. will be on line.

B. In ten years PC penetration will exceed 90% of all U.S. households, and the average number of PCs per household will exceed 1.
90% of the U.S. will be on line. Note that I am predicting a spread of connectivity to the entire PC installed base.

C. In less than fifteen years (the year 2013!) the PC industry will be the largest in the world.
