Why should they? Sun and Microsoft both "manage" earnings pretty well. Usually close if not exact. Lots of flexibility on cost side. Sun wants steady earnings increases and is serious about it. Joke is of course that Wall Street has zero appreciation of the server cash cow part of Sun. And the Street always looks in the rear view mirror where Microsoft, Intel and CPQ loom large - not the right side view mirror where the image of their future lies. :-) Chaz
