The pipeline (mainline) will be underground, I checked it with Adolf Lundin yesterday. This will help maintain a stable oil temperature. Lundin believed the contractors will meet the completion date (before the end of 1999). Sands (Lundin Oil) commenced a 1350 km seismic survey in Block 5A three months ago to help better define and upgrade prospects in preparation for the 1998/1999 drilling season. The first well will be drilled during Quarter 4 this year. Arakis' discoveries last year (including Umm Sagura less than 20 km from the Block 5A boundary) have dramatically increased the prospectivity of the area. A. Lundin: "We have absolutely no problems with the SPLA guerrillas, we have good relations. Sometimes we give the soldiers food to eat". "Our relations to SPLA are better than Arakis'."
