Hello Jane,

Thought I'd butt in to your conversation with Parcival. I'm sorry if I'm rambling because I may take us on a tangent.

I don't think people find God by looking at how nice people are. What does the trick, however, is looking at the change a Christian makes upon conversion (normally being much nicer and loving). I think this makes people more open to God because they become confused about the changes Jesus makes in us. After that, it's up to God.

Have you ever though about what the world would be like if all of us were nice all the time and there was no evil? I've heard the thought presented that evil was allowed by God in order for us to realize that we need God. The reasoning being that we would never rely on God if we had no problems.

I'm not sure what I believe about the idea presented above. It borders on free will vs. Determinism and I've decided that I will never be able to figure this one out. I therefore won't argue about it, but I do like hearing people's takes on these ideas.

God bless everyone,

Grant
