I agree. I hate win95. the PnP crap built in is just another attempt to make us clueless and brainless when dealing with our computers. The only way win95 is ok is if you go out and buy a new high powered system and use all PnP hardware. To add it to an existing system is a nightmarish experience. When they remove DIP swiches from hardware and make them PnP they limit individual configurations. Try to get PnP stuff to work in a non win95 system and all you get for your trouble is a bunch of screwed up ports and IRQ settings. I know what you mean about the long running HD. I am setting up WIN95 for a friend and sometimes without any keyboard action the HD will start grinding away for no reason. Now where was it I left my horse and buggy? JFH
