This much I do know. The U-Scan self checkout system is designed
to allow customers to checkout supermarket purchases with minimal
human assistance and meets the dual goals of improving customer
service while reducing costs (obviously the co's description).They have
installed their system in Price Chopper supermarkets, and Shaw's supermarkets
as well as Krogers. Sounds interesting. I think I will give them a call.
Just called them now and I will get back to you with more information.
