One simply gets the sickening and gnawing feeling that SoftQuad/Alpha just doesn't get it nor possess the requisite bandwidth/common sense when it comes to marketing...WebFiler, Alpha Five and HoTMetaL marketing/pakaging have simply been depressingly weak..and that is about the most extreme euphemism we could come up with without appearing hostile or rude...It is difficult enough to produce a product, let alone a superior one but to realize one's most formidable competition is one's own marketing incompetence is unequivocal negligence, and it appears this is precisely what is happening with SoftQuad/Alpha. They simply can't seem to get out of the academia/laboratory mindset...The reviews have been simply inversely proportional to market share. SoftQuad/Alpha simply is not capable of establishing the necessary critical mass for WebFiler, HoTMetaL, Alpha Five...without a timely and substantial strategic alliance. This is obvious and getting old, fast...With all due respect there simply is no evidence this management team has a clue what they are doing.
