JT, GIB.A is the ticker for CGI Group, *THE* success story of Canadian markets in 1997 (a blue-chip stock rising 730% in calendar 1997).

Shortly thereafter on January 6, conglomerate BCE announced its intention of acquiring a majority of CGI shares while giving them all of Bell Canada's business for the future. A very solid company if you're looking for a long term growth company with prospects well past 2000.

So far, it's up another 50% this year, mainly on the strength of the BCE announcement. Worth a look.
