John, there is a big debate about whether sex addiction is an emotional illness that can be easily treated with 12-step programs and therapy. A lot of people say that it is, but acting out in a way that looks like sexual addiction can come from several different motivating factors in someone with mental problems, and it is a new field, and so there is a lot of debate about the whole thing. And of course, most people believe that even though you have an illness, or at least a constellation of symptoms, you still need to take personal responsibility for your behavior, and a lot of people believe Clinton has not done that.
I saw Browning in an interview over a month ago. I realize she is trying to sell her book, but almost everyone involved in this entire thing will be trying to sell books before it is over, except Betty Currie I bet!! So is that in itself a reason to believe someone is not credible? That is a confusing question, with a lot of possible disagreement. Certainly, if that is the ONLY thing that someone can use to discredit you, they will try. Aside from that, she is an attorney, is obviously very bright and well brought up, and seemed honest to me. The part of her story I found most interesting is that Clinton, through her brother who was his aide, sent her the message that if she confirmed she had an affair with him after the press started asking questions in 1992, they would destroy her. This is not the only allegation of such threats in these sex scandals.
Did you and Bateman go out drinking together or something tonight? There is quite a bit of crude language and really gross imagery in your posts. |
