I am excited about LMDS! It has great potential, no matter what it is used for(internet,tv,phone,or a combo). (thank you Mr. Rochelle for reminding doubters that LOS is not always essential, especially when NY has thousands of square miles of reflective surface, at least to my recollection they do)
If only I had more time to put a business plan together and search for backing, I would be in the auction myself(in the process I did gain a fictitious name however, CityCast. Look for me in the next 10 years).
The ultimate communication system is fiber, but that is a long ways off and too expensive for many areas, but whoever has market share, come F-day (full fiber diffusion), they are going to make out. The way I see it, CVUS is the small guy fighting to gain market share and they are being squeezed, and I have faith that they can fight their way out.
The key here is not how much the BTA's sell for but the potential reward for owning and developing them. If you recall many PCS licenses went dirt cheap, but that didn't stop the profits.
I'm sticking with the underdog, and over the long haul I plan on taking a wild ride to the top. If you think that it's only the small guys that falter, whatever happened to the Grand Alliance?
I believe in the persistence, drive, motivation, and will of the small guy. Go get em CVUS!!! |
