Latest Office Market Share Microsoft Office 92% Lotus SmartSuite 6% Corel WordPerfect 2% Only 8% to go! Yeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! And here are my Top Ten Reasons that's NOT a Monopoly... 1. That's a legal term which I have to leave to the lawyers -- I'm just a humble software guy. 2. Isn't that when you have like, 100% share? 3. Monopoly's a BOARD game. 4. 92% of the office suite market? Ah, but that's only 7.5% of the total APPLICATIONS market -- hardly enough to worry about. 5. Lotus and Corel are still going aren't they? 6. Not everyone has a PC (or Mac) that can run Office. 7. Microsoft has single-handedly created the American software industry -- and created billions of dollars in new wealth and millions of new jobs... And, er... what was the question again? 8. There's absolutely no connection between Microsoft Office and Standard Oil. 9. I was just kidding about that last 8%. 10. I'm a nice guy really. Cheers, Dan.
