--Voice Control Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:VCSI), a leading developer of speech recognition and speech software
platforms, and Siemens Public Communication Networks Group, one of the world's leading providers of solutions for

VCS' speech recognition technology with Siemens' EWSD digital telephone switching system. This integration is the base
to provide more than 180 telephone companies in 93 countries with advanced, speech-enabled subscriber services,

"We needed an extremely robust and accurate speech recognition solution that would support our customers all over the

These capabilities will allow end-users to control various enhanced subscriber services such as call forwarding and
screening and the automation of operator services, using the most natural form of communication available, speech.
"VCS' speech recognition technology delivers to global markets the most accurate speech databases encompassing the
largest number of foreign languages," said Peter Foster, president and chief executive officer, Voice Control Systems.
"Our unique approach to building internationally deployable speech recognizers sets the standard in delivering
exceptional accuracy and noise tolerant recognition across accents and dialects," continued Foster. "Through VCS'
work with Siemens, many international markets will gain access to IVR functionality which will encourage the
acceptance and global application of speech recognition in mainstream business communities."
