AIPN has had a history of trading down on almost all news. The last time it really rocked was around thanksgiving when an analyst said that he thought it would go to 10 within 6 months or less. After that it was all down except for a January after tax buying bounce where it restablished 4 as it approx range. Investors/traders are presently weary of waiting for Kazakstan results and are confused by the Russian deal. Quality of the Russian field, its condition etc. Moreover, nobody understands the Russian financing deal, stock cash.
Where will AIPN get the cash? What I like is that the Russians took AIPN stock. I have to think that they would not take stock in a company going down. I have to think that they know what will happen regarding Kaz field siezmic study. I think that AIPN is a very good bet for a very great near term return. George the pres of AIPN is supposed to be "guiding" analysts within a few days. Their is also speculation that AIPN is involved in another deal or two also. I like multiple deals,
the more the better. I am optimistic about AIPN but inspite of my optimism it is definitly a speculative play. Someone bought over 125,000 shares this week near the high of the week. If other big buys are seen I think that the story is out and it will be good. I would look for buys of over 25,000 shares or a definite frenzy of smaller buys.
