| Cognitronics Announces Volume Purchase of its Voice Processing Systems 
 DANBURY, Conn., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Cognitronics Corporation (AMEX: CGN - news) today announced receipt
 of initial purchase orders aggregating over $500,000 from a competitive local exchange carrier for delivery of Cognitronics'
 McIAS(TM) 1623/IP voice information systems in the first and second quarters of this year.
 
 This new competitive communications company, which will provide local exchange, long distance and high-speed data
 transmission services in major and mid-sized markets throughout the United States, will install Cognitronics' flagship McIAS
 1623/IP voice information systems on its Nortel DMS-500 digital switching systems to provide voice information services to
 its customers, including network, number change intercept and automatic number announcements. Enhanced services
 announcements may be added in the future.
