I posted a similar analysis on the IBM thread, like this post you refer to, back in January when IBM first released its Q4 97 earnings. IBM has been a puzzlement for me, as investors have remained indifferent and shrugged off every negative indication over the last year. During that time I have remained in IBM Puts, which admittedly, have not worked out for me, so far. I continue to wait impatiently.
