Actually, it's probably the best way to generate upgrade sales for IntranetWare, considering that the majority of the installed base probably doesn't talk to their VARs much anymore. By taking the word to the street ("Hey, you can build an Internet presence and a functional intranet using your existing clients and network") Novell informs the entire installed base that they're back in the game. The VARs already have incentives. The "push" isn't working; let's try "pull" for a while, especially with IntranetWare, where upgrades are absolutely critical. I'm all for this.
