Yes, Chris is leaving (:sob:), but don't kiss TA goodbye. Or Cavedog.

First, Cavedog is a part of Humongous Entertainment, which is a pretty large company in and of itself. Cavedog itself has about 80 employees, and is working on quite a few games - including a TA expansion pack and TA 2, both coming out this year.

Like any game, there is a lot of talent behind a title. Chris was the leader and designer, yes, but there are dozens of programmers, artists, producers, etc. who have also contributed *and will contribute* to TA. Check the credits in the manual sometime.

TA is not dead. It's quite alive, and will kick serious butt :)

For a more official perspective, check out Kellyn Beeck's post to the TA message boards at www.totalannihilation.com.
