Steven,
Good luck in your investment in ESV. Did anyone see the comments by Salomon Smith Barney's Mark Urness? Apparently he revised estimates downward on about 10 drilling companies including ESV. I'm told he dropped his 1998 estimate from $2.95 to $2.65. That brings him back to about the consensus level. I bought more yesterday on the price weakness. As investor's become more confident with oil prices and oil drilling environment, ESV shares should catapult. Its combination of low PE and high growth should draw lots of investor interest, and I expect this company to outperform others in the sector. ESV's earnings should be augmented by relatively shorter contract terms. What appears as a drawback when oil prices threaten dayrates, suddenly becomes a strength when oil prices begin to firm and dayrates are rising. Life can be funny that way.
