Katherine, Welcome to the Thread! ... Nothing like getting our information base solidly rooted before we put our hard earned money on the line.. And your contributions certainly go a long way to insure the former. One question that has floated around recently that sounds simple, but is rather important to the revenue side for mask makers, is: how long can a photomask be expected to last in a production environment?.. This would be more important for large production run type chips, eg, DRAM, than for short run, high design specialty chips, I would imagine... but I, for one, don't have a good feel. Any chance you could shed any light? Thanks... "The Saintly One" TSO
