Zeev,

Could I ask your opinion on something? I posted this originally on the AMAT thread.

"One more piece of the puzzle: JBIL, which does contract assembly and Arrow Electronics, which supplies electronic components, have both announced revenue slow-downs this week. I have been trying to put this information in with everything else that is going on. I have a hard time connecting this with the usual Asian explanation. It may be due to short-term inventory corrections, longer-term slowing in demand or ... Does anyone have ideas of what other information to look for to help clarify."

My gut is telling me that PC demand is slowing and that there will be long-term impact to semis and semi-equips. I think the drastically low pc prices are the last act in juicing demand. However, this is just a guess. What are you thoughts on why contract assembler's and component supplier's activity is slowing down and is this a short-term or longer-term thing?

Thanks,

Dave
