Slightly off topic:
I suppose I am a chump for stepping into the ring and taking a punch at a medical professional, but I am gonna do it anyway. :)
First don't get me wrong. I am not defending this company or its product, or what it claims DHEA does. I also agree that there is indeed alot of pseudo-science and ignorance surrounding this latest 'wonder-drug'. There have always been misplaced hopes, and faith in the over-the-counter, holistic, health-food... whatever you want to call it ... types of medicine. In fact I see a similar damaging mindset in several people in the stock market.
But that said... I think some 'distrust of institutions', is not really all that unreasonable. We can raise our brow at the 'medical practices' of the institutions of say, the middle ages, but those were the very practices considered modern, and scientific in their time.
Medicine is evolving quickly towards preventative practices as opposed to the norm not so many years ago of let it break, then fix it. Or medicate it. Just as that was an advance from putting leeches on someone.
I hope you are not discounting the fact that hormone replacement therepies can be very effective. It has been used for years with great success in the fairer gender, and alot of research that *is* legitimate supports many of DHEA's claims.
HEPH?? Well I'm not short it, but thats just because I am out of $$, and haven't done the DD.
