The retail price for the complete unit, heating and cooling (they can be bought separately), is around 3295.00. The system differs from a remote start as it does not use the car's engine. The heater is electric and the a/c is operated by a small aux. compressor. Both are activated by telephone. Say you are leaving your office in the middle of July, you call your car and it turns on the a/c so by the time you get to it it is cool. There are separate batteries for the system so there is no worry about running down your car's battery.

As you can see by the price, it is aimed at the "high end" car market as a dealer installed option and for van conversions and limousines.

Should be interesting.
